This is the second in a series of blog posts to honour Anne Dosher, Guardian of the Soul of The World Cafe. Anne has been a wonderful guide and steward since the World Cafe was born in 1995. <\/em><\/p>\n

To celebrate Anne’s 95th birthday, we collected stories and greetings from the global World Cafe community.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The dragonfly has been Anne’s magic animal – a symbol of transformation.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Here is a letter that we received from one of Anne’s friends:\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

For the past 20 years, Anne\u2019s major community contributions involved \u201cThe World Cafe.\u201d \u00a0She was there at the beginning and was intimately involved in the \u201cCafe\u2019s\u201d development. \u00a0Anne was particularly excited by \u00a0how \u201cWiser Together\u201d and the \u201cCafe\u201d could join to reach youngers and elders in changing our world. \u00a0As you will see in this video, \u00a0Anne is right there co-creating a positive potential future with and for all of us.<\/p>\n

I remember with much gratitude how Anne supported me as I grew to lead organizations and community efforts from the early \u201970\u2019s on. \u00a0With her help, we have better services, systems and strategies locally and nationally to create an \u201call our relations\u201d world. \u00a0It was and is Anne’s life dream to experience a world where people reflect, think long term and listen to each other. \u00a0Now, The World Cafe is stepping up and out to create more vital opportunities for this to happen in peaceful and supportive ways.<\/p>\n

To celebrate Anne\u2019s 95th year, I thought she would love a Anne Wade Dosher Legacy effort to fund this important work in our troubled and divisive times.<\/p>\n
